Charter Day Visit to Hampton Court Palace

Hampton Court Palace will play host to the 2019 Tylers and Bricklayers Charter Day Visit on Saturday, 3 August 2019.
The original Tudor Palace was begun by Cardinal Wolsey in the early 16th century, but it soon attracted the attention of Henry VIII. The Palace is surrounded by gorgeous gardens and famous features such as the Maze and the Great Vine. The Palace went on to become one of Queen Elizabeth 1’s homes during her reign.
Master Heritage Bricklayer Emma Simpson will lead a visit to the roof to see the spectacular brickwork (weather permitting) and will provide a demonstration and talk about her work at the Palace. A 90-minute guided visit of the Palace is also included in the programme.
The visit will begin at 10 a.m. for 10.30 a.m. and will finish at approximately 4.30 p.m.
The cost will be £24 per person for members of Historic Royal Palaces and £44 per person for non-members and includes a two- course lunch in the Tiltyard Café.
Places are limited and applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Further information on the programme for the day will be circulated once your booking has been received.
