Annual Dinner [NEW DATE]

Following the Government’s decision to delay the easing of Covid lockdown, the Master and Wardens have decided to move the Annual Dinner to a new date, beyond the new easing deadline.

The Annual Dinner will, therefore, now take place on Thursday 5 August at the Barber-Surgeons’ Hall. All members of the Company are encouraged to invite family, friends and business associates to this prestige event. The Principal Guest and Speaker will be confirmed shortly.

The Barber-Surgeons’ Hall, in the heart of the Square Mile, is beautifully laid out in red-brick. It is the third incarnation of the original Hall on this site, standing alongside the remains of the Roman-built London Wall. With natural light, Japanese oak panelling and Barbers’ Company treasures in all indoor spaces and a stunning terrace overlooking an historic herb garden. We will eat in the Great Hall with Holbein’s depiction of King Henry VIII uniting the Barber and Surgeon Companies in 1541, looking on.

The evening itself will commence with a Champagne Reception at 6.30 for Dinner at 7.15pm.

Applications for tickets priced at £105 should be made to the Clerk no later than 16 July with full payment and the names of your guests. You and your guests’ places will be secured only by full payment with your application. If a change in Government guidelines requires cancellation, full refunds will be given. Otherwise, refunds will be available up to 10 days before the event date (26 July 2021), if cancellation is due to personal reasons.

If you have already booked and paid for the dinner for the previous date, please email the Clerk to transfer the booking to 5 August or to cancel.

The dress code is Black Tie with decorations, Livery badges should be worn. Carriages 10.30pm.
