Installation Luncheon

All Liverymen and Freemen of the Tylers and Bricklayers’ Company are summoned to attend the Installation of the Master and Wardens at the Church of St Margaret Lothbury, commencing shortly after 11.00 am following the arrival of the procession of the Court of Assistants.

The proceedings at the Church will include the installation of the Officers and will be followed immediately by the Annual Service led by the Company Chaplain, the Venerable Dr Jonathan Smith and the Rector of St Margaret Lothbury, the Reverend Prebendary Jeremy Crossley.

Following the Service, the Company and their Guests will return to Carpenters’ Hall where they will be received by the new Master, John Schofield, and the Wardens, Christopher Causer and Jenny Rolls.

It is hoped that Members and their guests will all wish to witness the Installation Ceremony and enjoy the Service, but those not able to attend the Church will be most welcome at the Luncheon which is timed for

12.45 for 1.15 pm. The principal Guest and Speaker will be Dr Roy Palmer, Chairman of Trustees of the Medical Society of London and former Assistant Coroner in the City of London for 20 years. Dr Palmer is a graduate of the London Hospital Medical College and subsequently Barrister-at-Law (non-practicing) at the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. He is also a Past Master of the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London.

This Luncheon is priced at £115 per person. You and your guests’ places will be secured only by full payment with your application. Please apply to the Clerk by no later than Wednesday 21 September for places at the Luncheon. Refunds will be available only until 29 September 2022 if cancellation is due to personal reasons.

The dress code will be lounge suit with tie, day dress or business suit. Livery Badges should be worn.

Carriages should be booked for 3.30pm.
