Plinth Courses:
Definition:

Used at the base of a wall if it is to be thicker than the main wall. Each plinth course reduces the thickness by a quarter B. (56mm), from the external face, by a Plinth Brick that has one face bevelled at 45 deg. Plinth Bricks are made as Stretchers and Headers plus a wide range of Specials. Plinths can vary from one to four courses; special care is needed to maintain the correct bonding arrangement.
